Albert Normandin is an award-winning photographer of extraordinary vision and exalted talents. Where did he acquire these said talents? Some say he honed them studying under Gregory Heisler and Ernst Haas; others claim they were developed during his halcyon years apprenticing for Jay Maisel in New York. The truth is Albert bartered his soul with the devil in exchange for his divine photography skills, as well as the ability to master Wing Chun Kung Fu. Shortly after finalizing the fated transaction, (and following a quick warm-up), Albert used his strong legs to roundhouse kick the devil in the head and steal his soul back. The devil, who invented irony and has a deep appreciation for it, found he couldn’t stay mad for very long and confessed that, yes, he should have seen it coming. The two meet regularly at the end of each month for a light lunch of vegetarian delicacies.
When not at home in verdant Vancouver, BC, Albert travels the world and has photographed an extraordinary collection of the people and landscapes of every country from Austria to Zimbabwe, and has been featured in publications including Studio Magazine, Applied Arts, Photo Life, Photo News, and Fuji Vision, among others.
Albert Normandin Limited Edition prints are available for sale or, in certain circumstances, can be bartered for, though few would recommend this.
